                    II. Chapter 7 - Exploration and Expansion

(1450 - 1750)

                   III. Chapter 12 - The French Revolution and Napoleon

(1789 - 1815)

                   IV. Chapter 13 - The Industrial Revolution

(1750 - 1901)

                   V. Chapter 14 - Life in the Industrial Age          

(1800 - 1928)

Second Grading Period

                   I. Chapter 17 - The Age of Imperialism

(1700 - 1914)

                     II. Chapter 18 - World War I and the Russian Revolution

(1880 - 1920)

III. Chapter 19 - The Great Depression and Totalitarianism

(1919 - 1936)

                   IV. Chapter 21 - World War Two

(1921 - 1945))

V. Chapter 24 - (Africa and the Middle East)

     (1945 - Present)

This course will consist of discussions, readings, lectures, required written classwork/homework assignments, quizzes and tests. Students will have a comprehensive final examination at the end of the course.  We will incorporate video tape and internet resources when appropriate. Class policies will be explained in greater detail in the class policy letter sent home with students at the beginning of the course.  A final comprehensive examination will be given at the end of the course.
