wpe3.jpg (8591 bytes)The FFA is an integral part of the agriculture program at Johnson County Vocational School. It makes learning more fun and more interesting through real life experiences. You are not just part of an audience, you get a piece of the action. As a member of the FFA, you will be part of the largest youth organization in America, with about a half million members.

FFA members learn to reach for the stars. You have talents not yet discovered by you or by others. The FFA will help you find and develop these talents and change your life for the better. leadership class.jpg (109206 bytes)No matter what your career objective may be, the leadership qualities that you develop through the FFA will benefit you for a lifetime.  The FFA can and does make your education a wonderful part of your life.  It makes the classroom come alive. You will become active in many citizenship, team building, and leadership activities as well.

If you get involved in the FFA you’ll develop lasting friendships, earn money, receive awards, travel, enter contests, attend summer camps, and the list goes on and on. Your limitations in the FFA are only set by you. As an FFA member you may also become eligible for over two million dollars in scholarships.

In agriculture education, the world becomes part of your classroom. To get the most from your wpe2.jpg (9523 bytes)education, not everything can be learned in the classroom. Through the FFA, you may be given the opportunity to visit and learn in such places as the National FFA Convention, National Agriculture Career Show, National Farm Machinery Show, EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World, National Hydroponics Conference, Horticulture or Lawn and Garden Shows, Fish Hatcheries, Sawmills, TN Aquarium, and the list goes on.

FFA is a school-based part of agricultural education programs in public schools and is federally chartered by Congress through the U.S. Department of Education.
